The Mother's Union meet on the third Monday of the month in the Church Hall at 2pm.




LADY DAY 2006


Lady Day 2006 was celebrated at Tow Law Parish Church where all the Mother's Unions in the Deanery met with their banners for a service and tea afterwards. Margaret Walker carried our beautiful banner and Linda Butterfield and Enid Murray held the cords.

75TH ANNIVERSARY


In October 2005 the Mother's Union celebrated 75 years at St. Cuthbert's Satley. On the 16th October we had a lovely service taken by Mrs. Catherine Lawes. The Rev Geoff Lawes played the organ, Mrs. Margaret Walker read the first lesson, and Mr. W.G. Heslop read the second lesson. After the service we went into the parish hall for tea and cake.

FIRST MEETING

On 20th October 1930 the Rector of Crook admitted 27 members to the Satley branch of the Mother's Union. Some of the ladies present were:- Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Mrs Louie Carpenter, Mrs. Disberry, Walton, J. Vietch, Olive Suddes, Davison, Edie Robson, A. Little, Madison, Johnson, Morgan, Peckett, Lowes, Crawford, Craggs, Leadbitter, Stoneman, Tomlinson, W. Suddes, Cuthbertson, and Mrs. Macdermott was Enrolling Member. The meetings were held monthly, on alternate at the Almshouses, Cornsay.
